Rick,

I don´t know where exactly you go, but I can tell you about two good beaches: First is Playa Diamante about 3 miles east of Cabrera. Very shallow, no waves. Second is my favorite: Playa Caleton (see photo below), just east of Rio San Juan. Not always good for small children, but no problem for big people.
