Cabarete - late January

Any suggestions or recommendations for single accommodations in Cabarete? I'll be travelling alone and would like to stay at a nice resort (I didn't say EXPENSIVE, just nice) that has some ACTION, but where I can also relax. I've e-mailed several resorts but have not heard back. I hope to travel the end of January or early February for 7 - 10 days. Also any tips on inexpensive airfare would help.....Thanks, Pete

try coconut palms. inexpensive but nice. just outside of cabarete w/ free transport to both cabarete and sosua.

I'll be travelling to Puerto Plata, more like Cabarete and will be staying at the Banana Boat Resort. Could you please give me any information that you may have on it. i.e. is it a decent place to stay ??

If it's not, any suggestions ??

I would vouch for it being nice. I don't know the prices but it is well maintained with excellent management, good dining room and a beautiful pool.
