Follow-up

Vida is right now (4:30 in the morning) sleeping off a busy
day of exploring the neighbourhood, practising to find her way
back to the house from differrent directions. Everyone knows
her by now, so she can move around without supervision, and
still be safe.
She tells me it was children who knit her up in the bag, and
not gently. (By showing a terrible fear for children!)

She prefers my star-spangled-banner decorated jeans shirt to
sleep on. Anyone got a spare if this one would need a wash?

Gunnar you appear to be the resident expert on the DR, I like that! Where do you find the time? We are coming to Purto Plata with a group in late February from the Connecticut area and included in the group are some Swedes. Is there a Swedish community in the area or a hotel run by Swedes? By the way my wife's name is Gunnur, also from Sweden. Steve

I don't really know about any swedish community in Puerto Plata.
Or elsewhere. I really haven't looked for such things.
If I hear a question, I try to answer to the best of my
knowledge, which is seldom very complete, but often better than
nothing.

Gunnur sounds Icelandish in origin to my ears.
