Coming in Sept. 2001

I'm coming in September to stay for a year or two in Puerto Plata. My sister and her friends are flying over with me and are staying at Playa Naco for a couple of weeks. Will I be allowed to visit them at the hotel? Can I go on the same tours as them (eg. horseback riding?) Thanks

Hi Sherri - Yes you should be able to visit your sister & friends but try chatting to the manager first to make sure he isn't going to charge you the daily "VISITORS' rate for the 'All Inclusive' package. If you have any problems raising him on e-mail, let me know & I will find it for you.

Re Tours - YES you can certainly go on the same tours. Apart from horse riding, which ones do they want to do? I still have some contacts in that area (I used to sell tours 4 years ago) & can probably get you some good rates. I recommend the waterfalls Jeep tour (Jungla Del Sol - US $39 per person) & Lorilar Horse Stables who have fine, well kept horses.
