Default Tipping in all-inclusives, is it expected

Do they expect monetary tips? Who, the maids, cleaners, bartenders, dining room staff? What is reasonable? I always take a little gift for the maid, but the problem is, you seem to have 4 - 5 different ones over the course of two weeks. I also take a bunch of $1 US bills, which is equivalent to $1.50 Cdn or 150 pesos. Is the odd $1 given to a bartender ok, or not enough? Do they prefer to receive pesos or US ... it would be nice to hear from a local on this one. I guess if it's pesos, they can use it right away instead of having to go to a bank. Any other thoughts, comments are welcome!!

You wish that 1 US dollar is RD 150, it's ~ 15 peso.
They prefer us$ but peso is also ok.
I always give US$ 5 once a week to the maid. The bartender ~ 10% of the bill but in your case a few us$ a night or noon will do the trick also.
Have fun.
