transportation SD to Punta Cana

Hola I have a flight from NY to Santo Domingo. I want to go to Punta Cana the next day and then return later in the week for my return flight. Any suggestions on transportation.??? Where can I get a bus.???? How much should I expect to pay? I will have a rather large suitcase and a carry-on with me. Thanks for any info

The most convineant options are as follow:

1. Renting a Car each way and drive to Punta Cana or
2. Set-up a bus transfer thru a Tour Operator to Punta Cana.

You can take a guagua from Parque Enriquillo to Higuey for 35 pesos. And then transfer to the Bus to Bavaro/Punta cana for 15 Pesos. Provided you are in the city. Otherwise take a taxi to the main road and pick up the bus.

Best way and most comfortable to getting around are the bus services.

Metro Tours.
Caribe Tours.
Terra Buses.

They all travel to La Romana (Punta Cana)or close.

All conviniently placed in the heart of the city depending on which is closest coming from the airport.
