Default Leaving soon,? re:Captain Cooks

Does this restaurant offer smaller menu items for lunch or a light snack? Is it acceptable to go there for a drink but not for a meal? We are planning to meet friends there but they are not interested in the $35.00 US lobster meal. Thanks

I think that you can go there and only have a beer. They offer that pack you are talking about (35 USD) but you don't have to buy it if you don't want.. At least, that is my experience. Taking the boat is free if you have anything there. (you only have to look for this little boat in the beach):

Captain Cooks is in Corticito, and yes I also would avoid it like the plague due to the high prices. However he is packing them in like sardines belive it or not. He has an arrangement with the other hotels where he hands out fliers offering this wonderful seafood dining experience and they will pick you up at your hotel on the beach via a yolla and drop you off at the resturant.
Belive me,this guy is packing them in. Just walk down the road and you will find a couple of small local resturant/bars that offer seafood ice cold Presidente, tostones, music etc.for much less and you will go away feeling like a million dollars after experiencing the local way of dining.
