Bacardi, you are going to the island where they have the best rum and you will drink bacardi?
Go to PBR and enjoy, it's clean and there are nice beaches. But please try the Dominican Rum(s) and you will never drink bacardi again
Have fun

First let me say that while the rum in the DR is OK.It isn't as good as Bacardi or any of the rums from, let's say, Jamaica. Belive me I have tried them all. I'm not sure if they serve Bacardi at Paradise but I kind of doubt they do. I was at that resort four years ago and it was fine then and I can't see why it still wouldn't be. I Would recomend it to anyone and would go back anytime. Enjoy and have a great time in paradice.

Do I have to worry about water, ice cubes etc. Is the water purified there?

Hi Liz:
We were in Playa Dorada two years ago and stayed at the Playa Naco. Going back this year and staying at the Paradise. I took a peek in there and it looks really nice, nice pool with a swim up bar. Outdoor eating area right on the beach. The location is excellent, you can turn left or right when you exit the resort on the beach and walk for miles. Other hotels on both sides. Have heard that the staff is very friendly and that it's very clean, and the food is good!! When are you going, and where are you from? Have a great vacation. Check out the info here and on Debbies page.

Default Bacardi Rum has a special on down here now!

They have a special promotion on
When you buy the Quart size they give you a free Bacardi t-shirt
I prefer it as well, In fact I bought 6 at the special price of RD.$80.00 Pesos....$5.00 US or $8.00 Canadian!
Try and beat that were you come from!
You can find this special at any of the supermarkets in town...

PS: Paradise is one of a very few resorts that is on the Ocean, An 8+ ...Enjoy your trip!

Default I just returned from Paradise...

I just got back from Paradise last night...it's a wonderful resort. I have stayed at 2 other resorts in the Playa Dorada area and this one is the one I will return to.

The rooms are very clean and very spacious...just make sure you book a junior suite as the regular rooms have a rickety spiral staircase that you must climb to enter.

The staff is very friendly, courteous, and very prompt. The food is delicious. The nightly shows are entertaining. And there is a disco and casino right on the resort.

The bars don't stock Bacardi, but I'm sure you'll enjoy Barcelo just as much

If you have any other questions, let me know.
