YOGA in Santo Domingo?

Does anybody know if it's at all possible to find YOGA classes in Santo Domingo?
In Spanish or English, I don't care. If you could email me, I'd appreciate it,.....internet visits for me are few are far between.

Well, I was hoping you would have gotten more responses by now. Perhaps my reply might not be that useful, but why don't you contact the Renaissance Jaragua Resort in Santo Domingo at 809-221-2222 to check if their spa offers yoga. The spa at the Jaragua is well known and even if they don't offer the class, perhaps they can suggest places that do. On a personal note, I took a yoga class last year thinking it was, eh "easy". How difficult can those poses be right? Well, low and behold soon found out that I was not as flexible as I thought I was, LOL! I am now doing Pilates (or so I think)...what can I say, it's easier on an ageing body LOL!

Greetings! If you're still checking, there's another place for yoga in Santo Domingo. I never took yoga there, so I can't tell you what the classes are like, (I think they're HATHA though) but you might want to check it out. Look for Ananda's Restaurant... It's a vegetarian restaurant and yoga school that is in Gascue. There is also a message board in the doorway, and other people's YOGA classes are often posted there. I've had Dominican friends that took Yoga from a person they swore by; I wish I could remember this person's name... BUT I'll bet you can get additional good info from the manager of Ojas, another veggie restaurant in Gazcue...

I hope to move back there sometime this year, like in the fall. If you find a good class let me know! I take YOGA here , but didn't have the funds when I was there. Anyway, good luck!
