Default Cigars!!

I am visiting Puerto Plata during the first week of April and would like to purchase some cigars. I am looking for specific brands (Feunte Opus X, Arturo Fuente, Romeo y Julietas, and Montecristos). I understand that there are alot of counterfeits around tourist areas. Where can I buy the genuine articles in and around Puerto Plata?

Visit the factory in Santiago, or at a tobacco shop in POP
Lots of luck with Opus X

This is the official Fuente website, and it certainly explains some of the prices and counterfeits

Default Sorry Bruce!!

There is no Fuente product in the DR at reasonable prices. It runs about NYC x 3 if you really want to know.
Montecristos and other products from Altadis are available at resonable prices-although they just experimented a sizable hike in price-at the Nacional Supermarkets in Santiago or Santo Domingo. You can also find Aurora product in many supermarkets, including in POP. Romeo & Julieta will also be found at Nacional. Forget anything Cuban in POP, they are fakes..

Now if you really like cigars and know something about them...well, just send me an e-mail..

Good morning Hillbilly, We leave dallas for Cabarete in 2 hours, and I will call you this week. It is 4 degrees C. and raining here - is it a perfect time to go to the D. R. or what?

Default Cubans in POP

According to La Casa Del Habanos's advertisement in smoke magazine, there is a Casa Del Habanos in POP. Is this true or false?
