Exchange rate domenican dollar vs. USD

Could somebody give me the exchange rate
of the domenican dollar to USD or DM

Kurt,

the link below gives a good orientation of the actual exchange rate. You will not get the same rate, but if you get as close as 0.1 RD$ below this number you´re fine. Actually this would mean you can expect up to 16.50 RD$/1 US$. Buying peso with DM will be much less, you better buy US$ traveller cheques and change them to peso.

It's depent even to where you are in RD and how good you know...
Here in POP whe change yesterday 1$US = 16.75.-$RD Peso (no Dollar*lol*)
1DM = 7.80.-$RD, but not in a bank.

What is the recommendation of which type of funds to take... all cash, travellers check or combination and if so, what percentage?
