Strictly speaking, there is no such thing as a "work permit" under Dominican immigration law. If the person planning to work in the DR does not want to petition for a residency proper, he may just obtain a business visa for labor purposes. (“Visa de Negocios con Fines Laborales”) and renew it every year.
