As Mirador pointed out, The Palenque, Najayo beaches offer good, inexpensive food. If you are however looking for a beach with crystal clear water and fine powder sand you can forget about this area. The water is murky and the sand has the color of mud.

Las Salinas de Bani has two sides to it. There are the ocean side and the bay side. The bay side seems to always have a lot of wind and waves although the depth of the water is shallow. The ocean side is usually crystal clear but does not have green/blue hues. It reminds me more of a Great Lakes beach.

I prefer Las Salinas over Najayo or Palenque.
