If a woman is at a table with just one man, most Dominican men will not ask her to dance. They will respect she is with one guy. If it is a group at a table, that is different. Try to catch a guy's eye and smile, normally that is all it takes to get asked to dance.
Be very careful asking a Dominican man to dance, that is usually interepreted as more then just an invitation to dance. NEver ask another woman to dance here, it is not done! However two women can dance with one guy...... that is okay!
