That's true CCCC, it does get a little boring when repeated so often. But you've got to understand where it stems from. We've all chosen to live in a society which displays to a varying degree sexism, classism & racism. Perhaps more so than our countries of origin. We all have our own ways of handling this as we have adjusted to life here. But there are some factors we cannot change and one is the colour of our skins. Sometimes those very colours will act as a barrier to being really accepted by Dominican 'elites'. Those of us who are white have a much easier time than those of us who aren't. So let the warm & fuzzy side of you surface, CCCC,
& go easy on AZB. He's battling something which isn't in his power to change.
And in case Nals thinks this is off topic, how the host society views an expats' social class is possibly more relevant to living here than the expats own perception.
