Perhaps the OP would be happier if some of the laywers who didn't take her case did as some lawyers in the US are known to do:
Take a person's case KNOWING that there's no case at all only for the sole purpose of TALKING ALL YOUR MONEY!!.
I am really surprised she couldn't find ONE Dominican laywer to take the case and steal her money!!.
