I've been very concerned over the years as most people of our environment and ways to participate in alleviating the stress we are causing her. And I was amazed at all the info out there on Biofuels and renewable energy alternatives with the use of crops from Jatropha, African Palm, soy, sugar cane ect. There has been ongoing research that gives us these environmental friendly alternatives. Aside from using land that would not interfere with food crops as these can be grown in poor soils, they would generate employment, giving farmers alternatives that would generate for them other means for land that would otherwise would not bring them much benefit and so forth it would generate employment, economically profitable and above all help our planet and our quality of life . However we have a very aggressive battle to confront in the political (Policies, laws and regulations), environmental (research and quality seedlings) and our social aspect (educating and creating environmentally conscious attitudes- starting with our children). Were is very good information out there- we just need to get involved with our local governments and farmers to address these possibilities that would be a benefit to our world and the quality of our lives.
