To celebrate my birthday, Planner will have to meet me in Miami and we'll fly to Colombia together for the festival in Barranquilla in February... 2009 or 2010. Of course we could also spend Christmas in Cali
and go to the Feria.

jrf: Yes, getting out of an AI is a lot of fun and my fellow guests at the Viva were so intrigued by the idea. They really are stymied by the language barrier and fear more than anything. They don't even know where to shop in POP, they're looking for a shopping mall! I couldn't have gone off the resort to dance in some dark neighbourhood with 20 motoconchos out front without someone who has inside knowledge to the culture (planner). Everyone knows her and LOVES and protects her because she treats EVERYONE with respect. She sees beyond class, race, education, occupation and sees the person.
