The problem in Juan Dolio is that the access roads for the construction are the main road that everyone uses - the Malecon or Boulevard as it is called here. We who live in the town are so used to the construction now - the dust (which is horrendous) the noise (which is also horrendous and sometimes 24 hours a day) the construction workers who are limpetted (is that a word?)to all of the walls of the villas here, that we just get on with it. One day all will be fine, but the construction is increasing on a daily basis. It is now moving back from the ocean into the woods behind, and getting worse , not better. But as NALs would say it is no use complaining about it - just get on with it. No one is going to fix the roads, no one is going to pay for medical bills for all of the chest and eye infections from the dust. Yes it is like Beirut - but the sun is still shining!!!
