Look, while these guys are venting, you might want to come and explore in Santiago.
There is a place called Retal, located in Zona Rosa on Juan Pablo Duarte, next to La Salle High School. They have a lot of quality cloths, made in the Free Zone, imperfects of course, but the prices are excellent. There are one or two other places for the "informed" consumer....stuff that "fell off" trucks in NYC and just happened to get here...INCREDIBLE prices...
For High End stuff there is the Plaza Internacional and of course there is a Nautica store. A lot of stores are having clearence sales, pre-Christmas. Gisell's on Metropolitana Ave is one of them..again, high end stuff.
