I don't know that people are uptight about it, AmericanSentiment, just not overly concerned about your experience, probably. I don't think, for example, that I would define your experience as 'bad'. Getting mugged, being in a bad accident etc would be a 'bad' holiday experience in my view. Your view is different. So please don't go anywhere where you can get mugged.
