Hi Sparky:
The restaurant you are talking about in Las Terrenas east of Kanesh (you had a great meal but cannot remember the name) is more than likely, Braonda Restaurant located in the Alisei Hotel/condominiums. I live there four months out of the year.
I was driving by Cacao Beach when the military and police went in there
to get everyone out. All the employees and hotel guests were standing
outside. As a matter of fact, I got stuck in the traffic for a while because
of the big bus that went to pick up the employees.
It must have been a very scary experience. It was even upsetting to me
just to see what was happening to everyone.
I understand that the new owners were in default with the payments (in the millions of dollars) and there was a court order to vacate the premises.
I always say to my friends who come to visit that coming to Las Terrenas is
not only a vacation, but it is also an adventure because you never know what is going to happen.
Glad to hear you had a good time inspite of it all.
