I have been told that here in DR........ children when asked
"what do you want to be when you grow up"
some say Baseball star or Doctor, Lawyer etc but the smart ones say a Politician...... as its seen as a way to get rich quickly even better than Reggaton or Drug dealing.
I was shocked to hear someone say how the people accept and turn a blind eye to let others get a way with corruption. I read a story where some locals fed up with being robbed banded together and lynched a few prime suspects in the street.........to the cheers of others from the hood.
If this is what raiding a Colmado gets you why do they turn a blind eye to people who steal millions and keep vital goods and services from the very people who pay the taxes.
I was told also that Noel and Olga Aid money is used to cover losses from other budgets.........people of Dr get the Government they deserve if they cant see through these people.
My colleague told me that White Collar crime for one year costs more than all the street robbers or thieves put together in ten years.
In some countries like France they had a very effective method of dealing with this.....lol
