to put in my 2 cents...
I have a little house in Bahoruco, a campo about 16 kms west of Barahona by the beautiful Larimar coast, I was quoted $35,000 dominican pesos to add a bedroom and a little kitchen, the roof will be thatched in palms same as the rest of the house to keep the "campo" look. My boyfriend will be traveling to Barahona tomorrow to oversee the construction and make sure that they do the job well, but I think $35,000 is a cheap price to pay to add a bedroom (solid brick) and a kitchen.
