I would suggest you contact your tour operator or whomever you booked your trip through. (travel agent?). Are you relying on a transfer bus or getting to the hotel independently?
Let them find out for sure so you do not get an unwelcome "surprise" when you arrive into Punta Cana.
As I recall, the RIU Bambu has a ramp up at the reception area but also ensure you request a ground floor room.
