Arent Las Dunas in Uvero Alto, Bavaro? If they are where im thinking the best place to shop for groceries is in Higuey, but as for Colmados there is nothing around. The only place around is Uvero Alto shopping centre which mainly consists of gift shops, there is one little restaurant with a very limited menu. Unfortunatly this is a very remote area, great if you want peace and quiet but as for nightlife, there isnt any as far as im aware. Higuey is a 40 min drive away if you want real culture (or culture shock!) and bavaro is about 30 mins if you want something catered for tourism, but you will obviously pay for the privilige.
