I called my MP's office today and of course 2 weeks later they still had no reply. The assistant wanted to wait another week to hear from Haiti and I said no email again today because I have read that other's get a response in 2-3 days. Within 2 hours he had reply. I have a feeling the file was somewhere else/misplaced etc etc.....a girl from Hamilton saw her husband's papers go to In Process last week and she was approved 2 months after me. So I knew 5 months without seeing the change was a problem. Most other's timelines have seen it change between 1 1/2 and 2 months after being approved as the sponsor.
At least now I know they have them - but I asked the MP's assistant if he got the B file number (which was the original request) and he said no then told me that Haiti would mail it to my husband...I laughed and said not that office. From all I have read no one's spouse has received it via mail. So he replied back asking again for the B file number so we can track it online. So now I have to wait for that response.

Regarding the B#client number. My husband recieved his B#client number via e-mail. And they also told him they were paper screening his file, and he would hear from them soon. This was on Dec 12/07 little over four months. Since that e-mail we have had to redo all his paper work( medical, police cert, police srevice sheet). We sent it in March 6/08 and they recieved it UPS on March 10/08. My MP e-mailed for an update near the end of March and now Haiti says they are doing a background check not to contact them until June. How long does it really take to do a background check?? These people love making all of us have to wait for everything they do, and there's no need for it.
