The part about proving your relationship is true but you have to prove an on going relationship to Immigration Canada not anyone here.
The example of backlog again was only an explanation as to why there might be a back long and not directed at you personally.
BTW has anyone checked the website? I checked it last night and only 30% of applications are finalized in 8 months and 80% in 17 months. So yes things have changed.
No one here is an outsider so please relax. You're all going through the same thing.
The online status seems to mean very little. I know that even when it's " in process" it will never change again til the spouse has their visa in hand.
