My husband received a letter today dated April 22 requesting an original marriage certificate and photocopy of the civil documents to be sent to the Embassy within 90 days.
Luckily my husband requested 2 marriage certificates and had both of them translated back in October. And he has another birth certificate with a translation. So my father-in-law will send the documents via courier tomorrow (I want to be able to track the documents
) My husband wanted to send more documents...but I said noooooooooooooo only send what they ask for.
This letter contained the elusive Bfile number. So I checked the website and it says that they started processing his application on January 31, 2008.
As much as I am trying to focus on the positive (if they are requesting docs. then they really are working on the file) it does make me wonder why the website has never been updated under my client id. Also, why do they need a copy of his birth certificate if we sent an original?? That one doesn't make sense to me and makes me laugh - but we will send whatever they ask for if it means getting him here
