Back to Hummingbirds...The ruby throated is very common here in New Hampshire but I haven't seen it wintering over in the DR yet. I'll try to catch some pics when it returns here to NH, we generally have lots of them sucking nectar. The Hispanolian Emerald, the Antillean Mango and Vervain are all visitors to our Las Terrenas gardens. Has anyone tried a hummingbird feeder? It's a red plastic flower filled with sugar syrup. It should draw them in if you have other flowers around. The ruby throated love them here.
