Maybe you have a downer on Skippy1 today if so get over it and get a life.
Firstly the Op stated that the mother of this girl was less than helpful when asked to mediate say words to the effect she was only interested in a share of the money. Secondly this kind of behaviour is very unusual.
Perhaps something recent like an argument over money with the relatives has prompted this behaviour. Nothing underhand or implied just an idea that the OP might look into the reasons behind the behaviour to find a different solution........now do you get it????
