Driving for single female visiting
I have been to the DR several times in the past few years and would like to see more on this visit. I will be there from Oct. 29th - Nov. 19th. Flying in to Santo Domingo and going to Santiago, Samana and other places as my schedule allows. I have never driven in the DR and would like your opinion on whether I should tackle the driving and rent a car or just use the public transport system? All opinions welcome. I will be driving alone from Las Americas into Santo Domingo and maybe from Santo Domingo to Santiago. Any concerns? In the past I have just used Caribe Tours and the gua-gua from Samana-Santiago.
