Generally speaking this Old Man coaches folks not to drive here unless they are well shielded...both insurance, patience and experience. Truly, nothing can prepare you for drivers here.
However, that said, you are not a total newbie, so you have seen some of what goes on. Believe me, it is nothing like what happens when you are behind the wheel...
Maps are fine, directions are easy....all in all I think the only thing I would do is find someone to share this with. Two sets of eyes, someone to call for help, someone to talk to...all of that ...
