Thanks. These posts have been very informative. I blend in pretty good while in the DR. I always get asked if I am from Samana no matter what part of the country I am in. I am a black American and have been speaking Spanish for most of my life. I am a little shy about writing it because I am a perfectionist. I will be there three weeks and have found some rentals ranging from $300-$450 for intermediate cars (sedans??). Does that sound like a reasonable price?
Once again you guys remind me why I stay glued to this site when I am not in the DR.
