Thanks for replying Lambada, Yes they are having some troubles gathering capital for certificados, but I think that is a temporary effect caused by the existing panic in all markets in the world, sooner or later investors will have to see how strong the Dominican Economy still is in comparison with the financial mess that is the rest of world right now, and will start betting on the actual relative stability.
About Dominican-Yorks beeing scared with the crime existant here, I have to tell you, they are always commenting that in the streets of NY yet when December arrives they just forget about everything they talked and start coming here in masses, they donīt want to spend Christmas in the cold and that is an event which happens more stronger every year. In 2003 december when Hipolito and crime rates over the roof, expats Dominicans came here like AA were giving free tickets away. Iīm sure the influx of dollars will be here come December.
