Don't get me wrong I like it here, but it's a complete disconnect... I thought this place would be more diverse... Rogers does'nt even offer latin music chanels!!!! Would you know a cable provider here in Canada that does? Either satellite or digital? Seriously, if there are any Dominican's out there, and there has to be, tell me how to find the music, the food, the people here in Ottawa. Thanks for reading... Yomi
Hi Yomi, welcome to Canada! I think if you check out the small salsa scene in Ottawa you will might find some Dominicans. I would recommend taking salsa classes there to connect with the Latin music/dance scene and who knows you might even end up teaching merengue and bachata.

If you can find the courage to put on some iceskates, you have the Rideau canal there and having a winter activity is good way to adapt to this country. Best of luck.
