dear OP, it's not about 17th century paintings. let's face it, even two academics do not have profound conversations.
i appreciate watching cartoons and having a laugh with miesposo. it's great that we can talk silly talk and do silly things. but i also appreciate that he can help me with my work, advice my friends on business issues. i appreciate even more the fact that when we went to poland and visited auschwitz concentration camp miesposo was touched and cried.
in burger king he will get dirty and eat with his hands and in an expensive restaurants he behaves like an aristocrat. he is quiet in a cinema and respectful in church.
barrio people... i have met many foreigner/dominican couples that made me blush with embarrassment. a barrio girl would show up in a fancy restaurant in what she sees as a fancy dress - that is, a slut outfit. a barrio boy will have no idea how to use knife and fork.
that is all there is to it...
