The entire project cost around 1.5 million pesos. The Mayor was present on this festive occasion, and promised that the side roads in Sosúa Abajo were next on his list for renovation, followed by the secondary roads in El Batey (the tourist part of Sosúa). The asphalting of the road up to La Mulata will be achieved in consultation with the residents, and will take place at a later stage. At the moment, the roads in Los Catillos are being renovated, with new sewer pipes, street lighting, pavements and a new asphalt surface. This work will take several weeks to complete. However, the Mayor promised that all these roads, which are currently in such a bad state of repair, will be renovated before the end of his term in office.

I have just one question is the mayor using funds collected for the Mulata road for other roads? (Castillo & Sosua abajo) Why are these roads being done first if private funds were collected specificlly for the Mulata road? Does anyone question this guy ever? He is obviously a thief and the money is in all likely hood gone!!!!
