well the problem is this:
many gringos that travel abroad to places like DR, Colombia, Brazil, Thailand, Phillipines, etc are travelling so they can have what they perceive as a great sexual relationship with a girl they never could get when they were 25 and in the prime of their youth.
so what happens IMO is they get down there to those places and then see what their money can actually buy and they get dumbfounded.
the hot young foreign gal fuks their brains out and the gringo starts thinking with his machete instead of his brains.
so he gets to thinking- wow, can i have this for a while? i mean i've got some cash on me- and with the exchange rate...geez i could have a girl like this anytime i come down here.
so he's using her and she's using him.
in the states about the only way a man can get with a gal that is young enough to be his daughter or granddaughter- he's gotta fork out cash and LOTS of it.
so he thinks the same is for that hot blooded chocha he had such a great time with in DR. so he immediately begins planning his next trip down there and in order for his next trip to be a bit more personal and he doesn't feel like a total loser he figures, 'hey why don't i keep in contact with her and help her out a bit and when i get down there in 2-3 months (whenever) i can hit that again and see my little 25 year old girlfriend.'
so instead of having to put any effort into the relationship, ie learning spanish, learning anything about her as a person and her culture, etc- he starts forking over the dollars...
and she is more than willing to take free room and board from some guy she might have to spend a few nights with here and there.
so both are getting something out of the situation.
but as with any relationship in any country- the only way to get a good relationship is to put in the work. that means if you're stateside you do not begin to shower your gringa girlfriend with gifts and lavish dinners. because its not warranted.
no woman's heart anywhere in the world can be bought at any price. women and men can be bought- but the heart cannot.
its just that often times the viejo gringo is kidding himself if he thinks his money is going for what he thinks its going for 100% of the time.
but why should he care really ?? if he can visit a country like DR and spend some time with a gorgeous hottie he has absolutely zero chance with in the real world- why does he kid himself???
