I wanted to add that because it's true that it's not the best area and there have been problems there in the past with guns, etc. Also, it's only a hop, skip and a jump from Jane/Finch, which is one of the worst areas in Toronto. That being said, I've warned my husband of that in the past but he still goes. He likes to see the guys and he gets his hair cut there. You should be warning your husband of the areas of Toronto that are not safe at night or otherwise because they think they are street smart because they were in the DR and they have no idea of what things are like here and they could really land themselves in a bad place without even realizing it.
