They applied and were approved early this year. They are the same owners of Apple Vacations which is the major tour operator from ths USA. And they were made from the defunct Canada 3000.

They offer just chartered service right now, not scheduled. At least, it's not published in Sabre yet. Visit www.usa3000airlines.com for more information. This airline is *not* related to Canada 3000, Canada 3000 was strictly a Canadian airline. This airline is based in PA and operated primarily from PHL, EWR and ORD to CUN and PUJ with three A-320s. I think they plan to have five total by the end of the year. The president of the airline, Angus Kinnear, was president of Canada 3000.

They are hiring Spanish-qualified flight attendants to be based at EWR, though. Check out the "Careers" portion of their website. I also still think they have a GM for PUJ posted, as well, but am not certain.

I know AIRWAYS magazine will have an article on them in September -- look for it then!

Canada 3000 had a 15% stock ownership of USA 3000. So yes, they were related each other. The president, stock ownership, etc. Probably this was going to be a bigger deal just before Sept. 11 "supposely" sent Canada 3000 bankrupt. But if you look close at history, Sept. 11 was just an excuse, the real problem came because of the acquisition of Royal Airlines and labor unions.

I just had to respond to this last post b/c it is quite obvious that GRS has no idea what they are talking about...along with MommaC...USA3000 has no ties w/ Canada 3000 whatsoever. As for the comment that Canada 3000 owns 15% stock in USA3000, I am curious how that is possible...considering that USA3000 isn't a public company, they are not listed and do not offer stock...They aren't traded...Anyway, if you want the truth..The only connection, if any is that Canada 3000's former CEO is now USA 3000s CEO. Past that there is no connection b/w the companies. If anyone would like any reliable info, just ask.

You can be shareholder without being public. That is called private investment. Now, I have to clarify something. Here is the story:

J. Mullen is the CEO and owner of Apple vacations. He did have 10 percent (more or less) of Canada 3000.

James Kenney is the President of Usa 3000.
Angus Kinnear is the former CEO of Canada 3000.

This information is as March 20, 2002. The 2 CEO's are not the same. Now, Apple Vacation is the owner of USA 3000 and the founder had a 10 % steak on Canada 3000 and Canada 3000 wanted an Airline in the USA but, because of the 25 percent limit of ownership, they couldn't. That's why they were planning some type of partnership between both that never went public.

That's inaccurate information. Jim Kenney isn't the president. Angus Kinnear is the COO of USA 3000.

The information published on my last post was obtained from the Department of Transportation website and the Pennsylvania Business Registry. When Brendan Airways d/b/a USA 3000 applied for the license to fly it was under the name and title of James Kenney, President.

Now, as stated on the last post, this information is accurate as March 20,2002, when Angus Kinnear was still trying to revive Canada 3000. If you can publish any information that proves contrary, please do and I will stand corrected.
