Heli transport. Santo Domingo-Las Galeras

I have survived the taxi ride, but last year, in Las Galeras I saw some people boarding a chopper at the Villa Serena. Were they just VIP's or is there a heli charter available? I tried chasing web sites, but this old gringo's internet skills are about equal with his Spanish ones. Sometimes I hit the correct button, or phrase, other times I find out the distinction between calor and caliente!! Usually the hard way.

If by any chance someone in Las Galeras reads this, yes it really is El Gringo Viejo and I am returning in March/03. Any links or suggestions welcome. Stan.
