Volare Airlines from Milan and Bologna to Santo Domingo
Will inaugurate charter flights on the following routes from tomorrow (21Dec) :
Milan Malpensa to Santo Domingo via Bologna on Saturdays.
Milan Malpensa to Santo Domingo on Sundays.
Flights will be operated with an Airbus A330-200.
Volare have also flights from Italy to Punta Cana.
DR is a big market for airlines now days

What does Volare Airlines flying one A-330 from Italy to the DR have anything to do with destroying CO/AA's dominance - - not "monopoly" since they're not the only airlines?
I would hardly say CO has a monopoly in the DR -- they fly twice-daily service from EWR to SDW and one each from EWR to STI and POP. And it's hard to criticize AA for being successful in the DR - they provide a consistent, safe service to DR and where people want to go.
