new airport close to Nagua

Hello,

I heard that a private company has started to build a new international airport close to Nagua for a good connection to Samana, but that after some month they stopped the construction.

Does anyone have some detailed information about this? Will the continue their work?

Having lived in Samana for many years and seen many, many projects there start off with great publicity only to stop for lack of money, change in government, etc., etc., I would not consider credible any response to your question that suggested the project would start and be completed in the foreseeable future.

This info is not 100% correct as the person who updates it uses flightrackers as one of his sources..... Some of those flights operate maybe once and never go back to the airport.

In Wikipedia the same goes for the person that made the page for Cibao International. Very nice, good pictures (He took some from the ones i uploaded here in DR1 of the CO777) BUT there are schedules that are wrong, and operators that are taken from the flight trackers and do charter (some times private) flights as regular ones.

So.... the info is good but take it with a grain of salt.....
