I know, it's amazing. It because of the wonder of US laws. A Puerto Rican businessman set up a US-registered airline called SAP Air Services, I think, and took the Be-1900Ds and had them N registered, but I'm not certain that ever showed on their aircraft.

Interesting operation, I think the less I know about the operation...the better. At one point, I know they also operated into San Juan- Isla Grande Airport with the 1900s, in addition to two or three daily trips to SJU with them, from HEX.

I've got quite a few photo's of them in SJU, I'll see if I can track any with their N-registrations. You can also search at dms.dot.gov under SAP Air for their application. All you need is Adobe Acrobat Reader, the application has plenty of details.

This all situation with EX is rare.

Now they hired TRANSMERIDIAN AIRLINES' 727 for Las Americas-SJU daily service. The plane is based in SDQ.

Actually I don't see in Amadeus their HEX SJU flights, what happened to them?

I used to work with EX when it all started, when UX's representative Mr. Antonio Mota started to fly regular flights to Barahona, Santiago and La Romana, it was very funny. Since 1998 they wanted to fly to SJU, Air Europa had no available 737, so they stopped. Then EX merged with SAP. By the way, they have a nice web now, check this : http://www.airsantodomingo.com.do/

Meng should check this web, such a small airline like EX has a better web then so well promoted on this forum BQ

The only bad thing about EX is their baggage allowance, it is 20 kgs only But they have frequent flyer program.

And they have some offers now, 54 USD one way + taxes. It seems to be good.

You're right, I think they must have pulled the service. If they've got a 727 operating, I'm sure that more than satifies the demand they'd get versus three Beech 1900s supplementing the 727 operation.

I don't know the specifics of the Beech 1900, but I'd guess that it probably got hit with some baggage and/or weight restrictions as well.
