im going to santo domingo in nov. i wnat to rent a truck (suv)for a week ,should i wait till i get over there or reserve and pay in dollars thru the internet?

Well, you better come here and pay it upon arrival. All rent-a-car offices are located in arrival hall of SDQ airport. You can call some of them to make a reservation one week before your departure.

No it is not cheaper to use net for it, it is the same. All payment are calculated on exchange rate, if you pay in pesos you will pay the same amount which is in USD. I have no idea about exact rates, contact companies who provide these services
