Default Any Experiences with SkyAuction

There's an auction going on right now for MIA-POP, with certain black-out dates.

The site provides you with all the additional fees and premiums, including how much additional you'll have to pay at auction end, from various other originations.

Right now, the bid is $181 per person. Once you add the other stuff, plus $125 flying from Nashville, it comes out to $450. Which is $200 cheaper than booking thru the normal travel sites.

Has anyone used SkyAuction for ticket purchases? or any other auction sites?

Thanks!

do a general search on skyauction and you will see that many people have used it with no problems.

word of advice: read the fine print before you agree because I know there are other charges besides what you initially pay for.

judging by your post, it seems like you know that already.

Default Sky Auction

I've used Sky Auction on many occasions and always get terrific deals on cruises, hotels, hotel packages etc. Nor have I ever had a problem. My advice... before you jump right in... bid low, preferably before anyone else bids and do it every time the same auction pops up (usually between 1-3 days apart) then go into 'Members' and 'Auction Watch' and watch the progress of the bids letting others win them until you start to see where the bid is going. Pre-determine what would be a great price for you(check the hotel or cruise prices on other sites first) then 'Autobid' your price and just let it go. You may 'lose' a dozen times but eventually you are really a winner.
Have fun!

I ususally find that their fees add up to more than the crap is worth if you buy it for 1 dollar.

right on the money which is why she needs to be very careful what she agrees to.

ther are many hidden fees associated with the bid. you can literally buy a plane ticket for 1 dollar ane end up paying 600 after all is said and done.

I try to stay away from bidding on vacation...I value my time off too much so I just see what days I have available and book it to my convenience.

Look at this link for the bid on airfare to POP.

sky auction POP

I have figured the following additional fees for travel Oct 16-23
from Nashville TN

Nashville: $150
Taxes $115
Proc Fee: $15

The bid right now is $153. If I got this, the total price for 1 person would be $433.

Could you verify please?

I have used Sky Auction many times. Sometimes people bid more than it's worth , set how much you want to pay & don't go over that amount. I have gotten some great deals.
Good luck!
