Aerodom SEIZED Aeromar plane and other properties
Unfortunately the Aeromar saga still on!!
Incautarán un avión de Aeromar
AEROPUERTO DE LAS AMERICAS.- Las autoridades aeroportuarias y el consorcio Aerodom, incautarían un avión y otros bienes de la empresa Aeromar, cuyas operaciones están paralizadas por problemas económicos.

Se informó que Aeromar estableció acuerdos con Air Santo Domingo y Aerocontinente, para transportar desde Miami y Nueva York a cientos de pasajeros con boletos de esa aerolínea.
Trascendió que tanto la dirección general de Aeronáutica Civil como Aerodom, dieron un plazo a los ejecutivos de Aeromar para que se pongan al día con las deudas millonarias que tienen con ambas instituciones o de lo contrario procederían por la vía judicial.
Dicha aerolínea dejó de pagar los servicios alquiler de mostradores, limpieza de aeronaves, traslado de equipajes, aterrizaje y enfriamiento de sus aviones mientras permanezcan en tierra, entre otros, de acuerdo a los informes de autoridades aeroportuarias.
Se dijo que Aerodom proyectaría incautar un avión 737 que la empresa mantiene en la rampa de la terminal de Las Américas, aeronave que se utilizaba en las rutas Santo Domingo-La Habana, y Aruba, Curazao, las cuales suspendió.
También Aeromar cesó sus operaciones en las rutas Santo Domingo-Miami y Santo Domingo-Nueva York, dejando varados a cientos de pasajeros que compraron boletos. La situación se atribuye a problemas económicos.

Esto no es cierto, por quye tengo dos amigos que venian el 20 de diciembre en Aeromar y me dicen que no saben si podran venir ya que no estan volando y que cuando han llamado a Aira Santo Domingo le dicen que son compañias totalmente diferente y que no tienen ningun acuerdo hasta el momento para aceptar los boletos de Aeromar.
Podria alguien explicarme que para entonces con las pobres personas que ya compraron su pasaje y ahora no hay vuelos

Damas i Caballeros,
La Linea Aerea Dominicana Aeromar sigeu volando normalmente en la rputa JFK-STI con B767-200 operado por CC (Air Atlanta) la routa JFK-SDQ no se sabe todabia.
Pero jurame Aeromar estas buscando aquerdos para pagar todas las duedas i seguir volando tambien desde SDQ con nuevo aeronaves.
Yo se que la empresas quieren dinero pero como dura tabto lo lleban por la prensa.
Si utedes qreun que estoy hablandfo mentira hoy tienen otro vuelo a JFK
Retrasado con 6 horas pero eso fue que llego muy tarde antenoche de JFK por el tiempo en JFK

flights STI NYC are operated 100% by Air Atlanta, they want to make some money on that route, BQ owes too much to Air Atlanta, so they are trying to get their debt there.
Aeromar will not fly anymore, this airline is gone. This is a pity, but they decided to go this way.

If you think it is not true call Aeromar, and all news on periodicos are not confirmed!!!!!! by AEROMAR!!!!!!

Sounds to me either way, Aeromar needs to make some sort of official statement as to their situation. I cannot think of a company that has assets impounded and does not publicly make some sort of announcement. These days, public relations folks can always put a spin on something.
Either way, BQ has a big issue in NYC. My fiancee, who works for AA, said they got bombarded with calls from the Dominican agencies seeking to re-book their passengers and asking if AA was going to additional capacity to absorb the BQ void. Even if BQ is still operating, they haven't been clear about it - or at least effectively communicating it - to the Dominican community in NYC or the agencies.
BQ may be weak and is the airline that had "nine lives" to speak, but it would be horrendous to have them flop in the middle of the peak season.

eli, we knew all along, since the first day of this forum, it was predicted as happened, surf threads about Aeromar, you will read everything what happened, it was described here a long time ago.
Let's say good-bye to Aeromar.
