Default Miles De Dominicanos Y Boricua Viajan A La Republica Dominicana American Dobla Precio

Default What?

It never cease to amaze me on what some people complain for. Here we are again, complaining about American, "that it is a monopoly", "that they abuse the passengers" "bla, bla, bla". But at the end of the day, all the passengers get to their destination and aren't stranded because a company went belly up.

What monopoly are you talking about? Let me see, from miami you have 2 other airlines: LanDominicana and Aerocontinente. From New York: Air Santo Domingo, North American and Continental. From San Juan: Fina Air, Iberia and Air Santo Domingo.

Prices go by supply and demand, it is the same principle in the business world. Its xmas, there are limited seats for X number of passengers, just like concert tickets. Before, it was the Aeromar discussion, now everybody wants to complain about AA...You want reliability, you better pay the price.

A monopoly is one seller of all of a service or product. Since CO, Lan Chile/Dominicana, US Air , fly there too, plus at least 2 CDN charters, Air Canada and a host of US charters, (barely even meets the definition of an oligopoly since there are so many competitors) what you mean is I am ****ed that crappy Aeromar and its brethren go broke all the time so I will blame North American carriers and not bad management or an inability to compete.

I guess we can define a monopoly as a company that will actually fly passengers with tickets to the DR at Christmas and then scratch our heads as we try to figure out how to make that a bad thing.

The owners of this site have established English as the primary language, sorry.

a ticket to europe is cheaper and they get new AC's when their fligth are half empty no maletas ni to lo corotos que llebamos los dominicanos para navidad ah y los vuelos son el doble de tiempo

What? Ticket to Europe, cheaper? Yes, u know why?? Because they have people who pay over 10K dollars to fly first class, those people subsidy the cheaper fares. Airline Economics 101. And yes, I have taken advantage of that, I paid 600 dollars to go from Miami to Thailand back in August. Oh, and btw, see how much you pay in Taxes flying to the DR.

eso tu no lo hablas tambien they never on time

Just look at DOT statistics.

and it's a monopoly b/c i heard that u have to pay $$ to american for landing unloading and uploading at AILA

You heard....Facts please!

tambien para europa viajan muchas lineas igual que rd pero no podemos comparar dice el dicho crea un nombre y acuestate a dormir but c'mon you know better

Explain?

i bet you aint dominican

I don't buy a Dominican nivera either. Does that make me unpatriotic? Hell no! I just won't spend my hard-earned money on junk.

I don't like AA either. I think they treat passengers like cattle at SDQ. But at least I know I won't lose the money that I spent on a ticket (even if a full half of it is for Hippo's taxes).

Northwest? Ha, ha! They make AA service look five star.

When there is a real Dominican airline with a real track record, I'll fly them. Should be about the time that the Peso returns to 15 to the Dollar.
