A structure for a dominican airline

Well people. This how I think a dominica airline should be. I repeat, this is MY OWN OPINION, doesn't mean it's the best idea, just what I think, aight???

I'm talking just about a few points, like fleet, routes, but if have any idea, just post it!!! It will be welcome.

Fleet:
ATR-42/72 (2) One of each.
ERJ-135 or ERJ-140 (2)
Airbus A319 (2) or Airbus A318 (2)
Airbus A320 (2) or (3)
Airbus A321 (1)
and as the bigger aircraft in the fleet (1) Airbus A330-200.
And in the future as the routes grow up, maybe an A330-300 or an A340-300 or A340-200. But not from the begining a A330-200 to JFK daily!!!

Routes:
SDQ-SJU (ATR) x2 a day

SDQ-SJU (ERJ-135/140) x1 a day or weekends

SDQ-SXM (ERJ-135/140) x2 a week.

STI-SJU (ATR) x4 a week

PUJ-SJU (ATR/ERJ) x2 or 3 a week

SDQ-MAD-CDG (A330-200) as Lanchile does from SCL to MAD to FRA, the can even sell tickets from MAD to CDG. x3 a week or more. For this route the can codeshare with any european carrier.

SDQ-JFK (A319/A320/A321) x5 a week or daily.
STI-JFK (A19/A320) x4 a week or more.
POP-JFK (A319/A318) fri, sat, sun.
PUJ-JFK (A319/A318) x3 a week.

They could also fly: SDQ-MCO, PUJ-MCO, PUJ-ORD, PUJ-DTW, PUJ-PHL, SDQ-PHL, even YYZ-POP-PUJ all of those routes with the A19/A320 and many more.

They can fly to PTY x2 a week from SDQ.
They can connect CCS with JFK with the same flight using A320. What I mean they can take advantage of the geographical situation of the DR making the country a hub for connections from and to Central and South America.
These are just a few ideas, but u can give your opinion.

The can get partners from the private bussinesmen, banks and international airlines and create a solid airline, use the same name: Dominicana de Aviación with the goverment as a member but not with 100% of the company.
Have website with up to date info, it's not necessary to spend thousands of dollars giving dominican food, you flight to reach a destination, not "Pa' jaltarte", so they can give just a snack.
Promote the airline and the country for the facilities, like no visa required for tourists and passengers in connecting flights, safety in the country.
Have on time schedules, that's very important!!!
Don't fill the plane with "Maletas con chucherías".

A tell the people, they are their airline, their dominican airline, with bilingual crew members. (Once a flew to JFK with my step mother, who doesn't speak english and it was very uncorfortable for her, cuz she couldn't ask for nothing without my help, cuz the only english speaker crew).

So that's what I think pals, let me know if you agree or think it's impossible. My personal opinion, "Sí se puede!!!"

dominican airline will not be able to get clients in european markets. Operational cost will be higher, and there is no need to fly that much from here, people love their FFN programs, etc. Market is established.

Flakkus the problem is not the route or destination the problem is people traveling to some destination and taxes that they most pay.

Dominican Rep. Our country is all the time in Economic problem because the Politician they don't know how to invest or manage the the Island moneys. I'm agree about Dominican Rep. having at the least 10 Aircraft if they can't afford to buy 10 in cash$ then buy 5 and open a small Airline then the company will grow, I know its sound like I'm dreaming because it never going to happen but even one 3 flights a week to NY, 1 flight a week to Miami, 1 flight a week to Canada. It can make some money and work oportunities for Dominican also money coming to the Island.

Politics: think in this way, 20 Aircraft "Fiao" a credit many destination they will pay some times. they will make them cousin to manage that. The guys take the money and say that the company got broke. in that way they go for a week to Najayo Jail and the diplomatics will put them out.

Let me guess.. you have no experience in business at all, let alone the airline industry.. thats why you have time to think of all this!

There's nothing wrong with dreaming.. but it might not hurt to find out why very few airlines have been successful coming to the DR.. then design your business ideas around that understanding.

Otherwise you're wasting your time.

Es increible k hasta el gobierno de Antigua y barbuda tiene su propia compania aerea..aunque como siempre con problemas ( LIAT) y nuestro pais cada mes abre una nueva,,para cerrarla y hacer 2 o 3 millonarios y joder a los demas.....y peor k eso.....ponen el nombre del pais por mas abajo del suelo.

Lets make one single Dominican-us airlines......con matricula n6027 y despues de de 5 anos..sabesmos k tendra exito.

Yeah my people.

The big problem in our country it's that those people who start an airline sometimes they don't know sh..t about aviation or the just want to become rich as fast as they can, cuz they know DR it's a good market.

My father know one of the former CDA administrators and he told my father sometimes they use to fill up a flight with family members for free!!! So u can see how it was.
That's a shame, cuz I'll keep telling it, we the dominicans and the Dominican Republic, have all the necessary to create one of the best airlines in the area.
We have a lot of airports, even more than HI planes!!! ;)
The number 1 destination in the caribbean.
The passengers.
We need a responsable goverment (Que se ponga los pantalones en ese asunto).
And people with vision of the future, knowing that the aviation bussines produces in long term, not in 3 months.
